Clair de lune

Clair de Lune (named after the composition of the same name of Claude Debussy), is a 3D work i’ve made for personal training.

The low poly modeling is made on C4D, as well as the animation (essentially cloners), and then imported as an obj sequence into After Effects.
From there, I’ve been compositing colored backgrounds, particles from Particular to give more life, as well as color toner corrections to get the right mood, Plexus to control the .obj sequence of the bird, and a simple solid glow for the eye.

As you might see, I’ve tried to avoid a usual orange-fire vs blue looking type, which was quite too common or easy to find.

So I tried to get out of that comfort zone, and ended up on a more poetic, calm ambiance, that fitted much more to the music.
